How much sense does the grappling hook make in batman physically?
So in batman arkham asylum, batman uses the batclaw to pull stuff down. Later, instead of firing one hook, it fires 3 onto one thing, and he seems to pull it down easier. Is that PHYSICALLY possible? That just by adding a few lines he can pull stuff down easier?
after reading the first answer (absolutely correct) I realized I forgot to say the batclaw just grabs it. Batman provides all the force. Batclaw does nothing but attach to the thing.
Think about this.
When you’re moving a heavy object by yourself, that’s one thing. But if you have help, like another set of hands, doesn’t the heavy object become easier to move?
Apply that concept to the Batclaw. One hook does fine work and does the job just fine. But when you add two extra hooks that have the same power as the first hook, it’s easier to tear out a vent grate.
So yes, when you add more leverage, it is easier to do something.
