Castle Domain Law Query?

Does Castle Domain Law provide one with the Right to Shoot a person that is robbing your house?
Now I live in Michigan, I always understood that if one shoots a crook in their home and from the investigation admits that they were not fearful for their lives and the weapon they used was always kept loaded, because they feared getting robbed…. That a savvy Prosecutor (wanting to make name for themselves) Could charge said gun owner with Open Murder or different degrees there of.
Am I incorrect if this thought?
