Matt Cassel had a great first year as a starter behind the best offensive line in the league, throwing to arguably the best receiving core in the league, and taking orders from one of the greatest coaches in NFL history… and once again everybody is all over him.
Has nobody learned from others mistakes? Does nobody remember on Rob Johnson, Derek Anderson, Jay Fiedler, Kelly Holcomb or even Tommy Maddox? All had great years and were highly sought after, just to come out and completely fall apart. I’m not saying Matt Cassel is going to do the same thing, but I don’t understand why so many teams are already ready to sign this guy to a huge deal if they can get him away from the Pats. Thoughts?

Cause the QB postion is in need for a franchise QB and hell yeah i agree wit you, teams need to calm down bou guy, ok he di have a great year for a player that just came off the bench but look at the talent around him, what if he was with a small talent players like the 49ers, or the Loins if he would of played for them it would made a differnce in there standings so teams hoop off this dude tip but he did doo good but lets see hgood he can be if he has to lead a team n has to be the NUMBER 1 guy like Tom..

because all those other components help a QB, but i can guarentee you, Alex smith would not be having the same success in New England…You have to have talent to lead a team to 11-5
